Roto provided complete master planning, conceptual design and implementation for the leading FEC brand in the Middle East, Magic Planet. Rather than relying on the haphazard palette of colors and forms inherent in the purchase of off-the-shelf ride equipment, Roto's design called for uniform "buglike" forms and a clean, elegant visual scheme more suitable to the up-scale destination envisioned by the client, Majid Al Futtaim. Roto provided complete architectural interior design as well as theme, graphic and ride design. The flagship Mall of the Emirates location is built under the iconic indoor ski slope at this world-famous shopping mall, where Roto chose a stylized "lava lamp" aesthetic for the main entry and for the primary food and beverage areas of the sprawling 80,000 square foot complex.
