COSI Columbus
Following its successful creation of COSI Toledo in 1997, the core Roto team led the design and production of $28M in new, groundbreaking exhibits and theaters for COSI's 1999 Columbus expansion, covering some 101,000 square feet. This ambitious undertaking introduced numerous science museum "firsts," including a richly-themed puzzle-solving exhibit, interactive indoor fountain, film-based motion simulator, the first (and only) high-wire unicycle, open-ended "sandbox" learning activities, and much more. After more than 10 years under heavy use, each of the original permanent exhibit galleries at COSI are still running strong.
Highlights:
- Adventure - an innovative and experimental problem-solving exhibit
