National Children's Museum

Roto designed five major exhibition areas for one of the leading new children’s museum projects in the US. Slated for a 2014 opening at the National Harbor development in a striking Pelli Clark Pelli building, the Museum hand-picked Roto from a national search to lead their largest exhibition design program. The project included a dedicated young child exhibit, a health exhibit featuring a giant stylized tree and walk-thru child, a performing arts area, and zen-inspired water play space.

project highlights:

  • “Riverplay,” a water exhibit,
    3,000 square feet
  • “Play & Imagination,”
