COSI - Progress
Roto planned, wrote, designed and produced this major permanent exhibition telling the story of American progress from a technology perspective between the years 1898 and 1962 -- from the electric light to the dawn of the space age. The exhibit is arranged as a period street corner frozen in two different eras, with visitors passing between them to compare and contrast. Collections include period communications and medical apparatus, a restored horse-drawn buggy and WV “bug,” period musical instruments and housewares, and the Durrell collection of farm implements. Interpretation occurs through a multimedia pre-show, transition displays, animatronics and other a/v devices, docents and labels.
